Is there any common sense anymore or is it a thing of the past? Some of the vids I have seen covering the inlet makes me think it’s just not common anymore. Everyone hop aboard it will be fine.

Yeah I been watching some of the antics at Haulover on the tube , I mean I know they dont show the non event clever people but man there are some dumbarses out there.
And I saw a guy ,wife and infant ( like nearly new born )in an inflatable (not at Haulover ) pounding the waves ,woman sitting on floor clutching baby bouncing high enough I could see air under her butt.......totally out of control and not a floatation device to be seen .Unbelievable

By IMO law, all passerelle and gangplank boxes need to be hull tight and pass hull rating.

The equipment manufacturer would have tested it prior to sending to the yacht builder. Usually 5 to 8 psi as it's below the weatherdeck

It's up to the builder to do a post-installation test

It's up to the captain to follow all laws and capacities.
