The one feral cat that I see is the neighbor 4 doors down outdoor cat, just because the cat gets pet and some food does not mean it isn't a killing machine. I will not kill it because if I wounded it and the cat made it home that would be problematic. That being said I don't think a cat survives 00 buck shot of of a 12 gauge.
Yep I have had and still do have similar problem 😁

Absolutely ... I like turtle soup, turtle etouffee, fried turtle ... you just have to keep them alive a few days in clean water, changing the water often, till you get the mud cleaned out of said turtle.
🙂I do that with eels

People are not feeding and multiplying those lions like they are feral cats !
Its usually the peeps that dont actually ( and dont want to )know the damage feral cats can do ....and the fact that they mostly look like domestic cats doesnt help , I mean they are not looking like a snarling growling pit bull ..with a skinhead on its lead, that you could immediately identify as likely to be trouble .

Not too long ago I went off on the tree rats that ate my boat so I understand. Maybe I've not seen a cat infestation, no stray cats around here, maybe the coyotes deal with them

Funny as much as I have enjoyed hunting deer in the past if a deer wants to live on the peninsula I will put out peanuts at dark, I will probably get a bag of deer feed not just crappy corn to help her out, perhaps the deer will leave the wife's hostas alone if she has a full belly.

Can you plant the hostas somewhere away from your house ...and maybe sweeten them with a bit of deer food sprinkled about.
There is a difference between hunting deer , specially if they are problematic , and having them about your back yard adding to the ambiance, I guess one has to figure out what they are prepared to sacrifice to have them around . I dunno quite why but Id much rather have the odd deer about than a feral pig ...or possums chipmunks and coons just being a pita 🙂🙂
